The Women's Mural Mile celebrates the commemoration
of International Women’s Day that is officially observed every 8th
of March. This mile is dedicated to a courageous and life long woman humanist,
whose artwork has served as an inspiration and healing vehicle to women worldwide, and
the founder's personal mentor, Artist Laurel Burch. This mile will represent
and be painted by and for women of the world--a “clan” of millions of hearts
and souls—their joys, sorrow, pain, successes, highs and lows…but most of all,
LIFE..Be sure tosee the dedication
mural painted in honor of Laurel Burch, by Silvia Pecha, Austrian Artist on
our website.
The
Women's Day Women's Mural Mile will be painted in all cities, towns, villages,
and locations to create murals as part of the 12 miles of murals. We were honored
to be particpants in the Gather the Women Congress and have now joined a unique
family of visionary women leaders birthed from Women of Vision and Action, and
continue to proliferate unity and love through regeneration of more groups like
The Women's Satellite Peace Network TV, PeaceXPeace, Millionth Circle and with
the aim of convening The Sixth World UN Conference on Women in Brazil.
We
are truly lucky to have found a passionate and dedicated Women's Mural Mile
Director in Deanna Kuhn. This super invincible woman has jumped into this project
with vitality and energy that can only come from a heart and soul that understands
how important the women's role really is in this global society.
The
Women's Mural Mile brings together the incredible women of this world whose
strength, compassion, suffering, iniative and quest for peace will be the light
that will lead us to world peace. It is we, the women of this world who must
work even harder to preserve our planet, and teach our children to love, not
hate.
