400 metres of murals

FROM VALENCIAN SCHOOLS PAINTED 110 MURALS UNDER THE AUSPICES OF A UNESCO
PROGRAM:

Rocafort
(18/10/02).- Last 14th October, children from the local schools Santa
Ana (Algemesí), Mas Camarena (Bétera), Cervantes (El Barranquet),
Koynos (Godella), San Sebastián and Cambridge House (Rocafort)
painted throughout the day 110 murals representing Spain in the
Art Miles Mural Project. This project has been included
in the UNESCO Decade of the Culture of Peace and Non-Violence among Children
of the World (2001-2010)
This
project was created by Joanne and Fouad Tawfilis. At the present time
there are more than 600 murals, measuring 5 by 12 fee each , created using
acrylic paints by children from all around the world.
On
October the 14th children from these schools in Valencia painted 110 murals,
on 400 metres of canvas, surpassing the number of murals painted in Mexico
last March, when 75 murals where performed for the same project. At one
of the participating schools in Valencia, the Cambridge House of Rocafort,
children painted 77 murals.

Doctor
Angel Escudero as the patron and person in charge of this project for
Spain, wants to exhibit this 400 meters of marvellous murals in Valencia
before being moved away to be exhibited in several cities in America.
Dr.
Escudero has also accepted an invitation to be a member of the world Executive
Committee for the UNESCO program The Decade of the Culture of Peace and
Non-Violence among Children of the World, and he has proposed that the
United Nations designates at least one day each year as the “day
of positive news and positive thoughts”.
Dr. Escudero is the Valencian surgeon who has come to be known all over the world because he operates on all of his patients using only psychological anaesthesia along the last thirty years. He is the creator of a humanistic school in the field of medicine: Noesitherapy - Healing by Thinking.
